Let me share an example from my previous organisation.One of my colleague was on a call with the irate customer She was not able to handle the customer as she was giving a standard reply to the customer that his pass card has already been ordered and will receive it in a couple of days. I understood the problem and asked her to keep the customer on hold. The customer wanted to visit our office and was arguing that he has still not received his pass card. I informed her that for the time being, she can sign him in when he comes to the office tomorrow and in the mean time she can check the status of the pass card whether it's ready or if it's in dispatch. I also told her that she can intimate the status of the card to him either by a return call or when he visits the office tomorrow. This way the customer and my team member both were very happy and I could prove that I am a good team player.
