Whatever the problem may be, these are the 3 rules to follow:

1) Do not ignore the problem. Confront it head on.
2) Follow protocol given on handling co-worker/employer issues. This may mean a discussion with the Union or Management.
3) Don't deter in your original convictions.

With customer service. I tend to look at every possiblity and present this to the customer. This sometimes can be confusing to the customer. So I have found since I am the expert in ..... field if I only present one or two options it provides a better customer experience.

I used to work as a night shift team leader at Sainsbury’s. On one occasion senior team leader called in sick during my second month of team leader training. So the responsibility of running the shift and making sure the shop is ready for next morning came on me. Although this may have been seen as a problem, I quickly realised this was an early opportunity for me to put my trainings I have been given so far into practice and escalate my training procedure. I was able to recall the shift running experiences with my manager during my training and execute the procedures in correct manners, allocate staffs on right task and use self intuition on difficult decisions. A pep talk was also given for extra work needed from my colleagues due to short of staff. Experiences I seem to lack on certain time was made up by taking initiative to discuss the issues with other experienced staff and solve the problem. Day shift manager was able to come next morning and was satisfied with the standard of job that I was able to achieve under given circumstances.

why is it that everyone I work with has to work all sorts of hours during the week and weekend.. mornings, nights whatever! Yet there is one, yes one... employee who gets away wit working 7-2 every day monday through friday.. never a weekend..Why... because she cant get a sitter.. While most of us working in this buisness (grocery store) our single moms with children, we have to work all these hours and always on weekends.. I confronted the super, and nothing has happened and probably never will.. how can this be fair.???????
