Providing a fun and comfortable place for them to shop. Acknowledge them, be sincere, bend over backwards to help them with whatever they need. Offer them suggestions or substitutions if their product is not in stock. Offer to have their product shipped in from another store. You want the customer to leave feeling valued and with a smile on their face. Smile, laugh, put them at ease. After all it is the customer who you depend on to to keep your goals attainable. It also provides you with a deep sense of pride knowing that you treated the customer exactly how you would want to be treated, by doing the right thing, and by being the best you can be.

Great service is about anticipating the customers needs and providing everything to take care of those needs. Customers should feel welcomed and well-received and should never have to ask for anything, and when they leave they should feel comfort in having been there, and a desire to return.
