This is a standard "feel-out" question that many interviews will begin with. This is a particularly tricky question because a) more interview questions will follow suit so revealing too much information leaves for "empty" answers later on. B) Contrary to the question being asked, "telling" about oneself doesn't include anything regarding your personal life, stick to relevant facts about past work experiences, and education.
