This is a “continuous learning” question. The employer wants to see that you are self-motivated and aspiring for bigger and better things. Do keep in mind that this is still an interview question, so relate it back to the job on hand but talk about the growth within the company that you are looking forward to.
•“I am interested in long-term commitment and stability. This is a position that I’ve had my eyes on for awhile, and as long as it provides me with the opportunity to grow within the company, I would love to stay here and make it my future career path. I’m confident that when given the chance to prove my fully-qualified skills, you will agree that I am a great investment for this company now and in the future as well.”

The answer should relate to the position or company you are being interviewed for. Interviewers want to hire someone who shows commitment.

i think that the answer of WaterBottleGirl is enough, because the interviewer want to know your commitment and if you planning to go in an other place & if you considerate this position as one of your steps.

I see myself as a leader in this company. I love making myself as a roll model among my co-workers that's why I think I will be more influential if I'm in a higher position. The company will benefit more from my skills and qualities.

Well, I see myself working and building a career together with your company. Maybe I will be in your shoes, doing this kind of job, but I’m not saying that I want to take your job. What I mean is that maybe you will get promoted to a higher and better position, and that position will be available. Since I am good candidate for that position, I might be able to take that job.

24. JP :) - April 06 2010 (Answer ID: 4485)
In 3 years time I see myself progressing within this company, quailifying in my preferred line of work (accountancy) and becoming a finance manager. Having been through the apprenticeship programme here, i feel I know invaluable knowledge about the organisation that other external applicants wont know. Im comfortable with the system, get on with all members of staff and im a hard working reliable member of the team. 5 years time will hopefully see me get promotion to a higher managerial role, I am eager to learn and feel my contribution and dedication to the company will allow me to do this.
