Don’t be alarmed if you can’t seem to formulate a general statement for this question. Because that’s exactly it, success is subjective to the individual. Stray away from result/work-oriented answers, and focus on the bigger picture of your philosophy at life. Think about what makes you happy, and you’ll find that the definition of success will come shortly after.

“Success to me would be maintaining a good health, learning something new every day, and having friends and family close. I don’t believe that success is found in money, power, and fame. I believe success is found in the fabric of everyday life, things that we tend to take for granted until it’s taken away from us.”

I think many people will define success in an egocentric light. That they have achieved something, perhaps stepping on the little people on the way up while doing so. For me, success is when I feel accomplished and have accomplished noble deeds (that my community recognizes) but also, when I have the influence and power to inspire others, to help others get to where they want to go as well. There is a greater beauty in giving than just receiving, and I believe my success lies on the happiness of my community as a whole. Nothing is ever about me, because we live in a world full of human social interactions and interconnections. We help each other up, or we drag each other down. My success, is the success of everyone who has supported me.

Success for me is to have a good family, living with them in peace and happiness, reaching a good position in my work, to be always satisfied in what I’m doing, learning something new and good every day, helping the others and achieving my job as it should be done.

Success starts with myself. I fill yourself with great thoughts therefore, making it easier to respond to conflict when they come. I made sure that when the opportunity comes I'm ready to grab it. That's what being a success is all about for me.
