In my last semester before studying abroad in France I put what many would consider “too much on my plate” I was enrolled in full time classes, on the board of 3 Associations and working part time in my role as a Sales Coordinator for the Walt Disney World Corporate offices. I found that prioritizing and keeping my mind and the time constraints for each assigned papers/ projects really helped me to organize my hectic week. I had to learn how to remain focused and how to push through the pressure of the high demands of the heavy workload. I used my running and Pilates as a way to remain balanced and centered. It always helps to have a good sense of balance in chaotic times…and exercise is a great way to reduce stress and re energize.

Mention pressures you face on the daily, such as dealing with deadlines on a regular basis.

This does not have to be work related. Pressure is an everyday struggle, so draw from different strenuous experiences that best frame your ability to work under pressure.
“Pressure is actually a catalyst to my work. When there is an imperative deadline, I refocus my energy into my work which in fact, has helped me to produce some of my best works. (Give examples) I guess you can say I thrive under pressure.”

I don’t think it’s enough to state that you work well/thrive under pressure. This is definitely a place to demonstrate with a few examples of how you’ve handled it in the past. Pressure is an important gauge to measure a person’s tolerance and patience. The more details you can put into the story draws a realistic picture, perhaps even putting the interviewer in your shoes for that moment in time. Include key facts and words that reiterate the demands the situation entailed such as “time constraints” or offer quantitative data.

Two word: Finals Week.
No matter if I have endured 4 semesters worth of Finals Week, the amount of pressure, condensed workload, and tests that accumulates in that one week never ceases to amaze me. I took on 6 classes one semester, all upper level classes (not those prerequisite classes), and got what I signed up for- an immense pileup of tests, papers, and projects. I found that prioritizing and keeping in mind the time constraints for each assigned paper/projects really organized my hectic week. I had to learn how to efficiently manage my time and take “risks” when I ran out of allotted time on certain projects. The most important thing, however, was to stay centered. The moment the work began to overwhelm me; the doubts began to cloud my mind. Keep pushing yourself to your limit because the moment is relatively short-lived.

Working under pressure is the biggest part of my job. And I have been working under this pressure for more than 4 years and actually I got used working under pressure and stress. And working under pressure doesn’t cause me any problems at all. And I had lots of situations in my previous job that I worked under pressure with no problems. And really this pressure makes me focusing more in my job and doing all the best to reach my aim.
